The short version: Keyiddle does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It has no internet connection. Nothing leaves your Mac.

What Keyiddle does

Keyiddle is a keyboard cleaning utility for macOS. When you start a cleaning session, it uses macOS Accessibility permission to intercept and suppress keyboard and mouse events for the duration you select (30, 60, or 90 seconds). This lets you physically clean your keyboard without accidentally triggering keystrokes.

What Keyiddle does not do

Accessibility permission

Keyiddle requests Accessibility permission from macOS to intercept keyboard and mouse events. This permission is used exclusively to suppress input during a cleaning session. Keyiddle does not:

The permission can be revoked at any time via System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Revoking the permission immediately prevents Keyiddle from operating.

Watchdog agent

Keyiddle includes a background agent (KeyiddleAgent) that monitors the main app and restores keyboard input in the event of an unexpected crash. This agent:
